We respect that parents are their children’s first educators and we hugely invest in parental partnership. Parents and carers are welcome to participate at the nursery and we actively encourage an open and respectful relationship between practitioners and our children’s families. We provide many opportunities for families to come into our preschool and support their children’s learning.
At the Honey Bee we believe children are unique and individual and deserve to be loved, cherished and nurtured.
It is the staff that add the special magic to your children’s day and therefore practitioners are specially selected to care for and educate your children on a daily basis in the best possible way and to make their earliest years the happiest ones.
All practitioners hold an enhanced DBS check (police check), hold at least a level 3 childcare qualification and are trained in pediatric first aid and safeguarding/child protection. Through ongoing professional development, we are committed to sustaining a workforce of highly qualified and knowledgeable practitioners. These dedicated staff understand child development and use their knowledge to provide stimulating and educational activities that inspire, challenge and fascinate the children.
Through play, our professional, dedicated and caring practitioners promote each individual child’s learning and interests. We take inspiration from a variety of different perspectives including the Forest School approach. We give our children regular opportunities to explore and learn outdoors in the natural environment and use a secure, community garden in which activities take place. Outdoor play also supports children’s problem-solving skills and nurtures their creativity, as well as providing rich opportunities for their developing imagination, inventiveness and resourcefulness.
